The Spanish Paralympic Cycling Team shines at Paris 2024: Eight Medals of Pure Endurance

Inverse has been equipping the Spanish National Team with its best cycling apparel since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Spanish Cycling Team concluded its participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with eight medals – two gold, three silver and three bronze, making it one of the country’s most outstanding sports teams at the Games.

A Historic Record for Spain at the Paralympic Games

The Spanish Paralympic Cycling Team made its mark at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games by winning eight medals: two gold, three silver and three bronze. These results not only mark a new milestone for Spanish sport, but also consolidate Spain’s position as one of the most successful teams in the competition. Outfitting these elite athletes has been an honour and an indescribable source of pride for INVERSE, as their effort and dedication represent the best of our country.

Well Deserved Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals

Gold for Ricardo Ten and Sergio Garrote

Ricardo Ten won gold in the time trial C1, demonstrating his skill and perseverance, while Sergio Garrote shone in the time trial H2, in which he also took the gold. These achievements are the result of years of preparation and hard work, and we are proud to have designed the outfits for the Spanish national cycling team that accompanied these champions on their road to success.

Three Silver Medals: Garrote, Santas and the Sprint Team

Sergio Garrote added another silver medal in the road time trial H2, while Eduardo Santas won the silver medal in the road time trial C3. The team sprint also added a well-deserved silver to the medal tally. Each athlete demonstrated their unique talents, and we at INVERSE are excited to be a part of this journey by providing them with the equipment to accompany their efforts.

Three Bronzes: Ten, Ramos and Cabello

Ricardo Ten was not happy with just the gold, and added a bronze in the Individual Pursuit C1, while Damian Ramos climbed the podium with a bronze in the time trial C4. Meanwhile, Alfonso Cabello won a bronze in the kilometre C4-C5. The perseverance and dedication shown by these athletes inspires us to continue innovating to give them the high quality custom cycling apparel they deserve.

Spain Concludes the 2024 Paralympic Games with 40 Medals

The results obtained at Paris 2024 were extraordinary, with a total of forty medals for the Spanish team: seven gold, eleven silver and twenty-two bronze. This is a significant increase on Tokyo 2020, where the team won thirty-six medals, and Rio 2016, with thirty-one. Cycling, swimming and athletics were the most outstanding disciplines for Spain, consolidating the country as a power to be reckoned with at the Paralympic Games.

The INVERSE brand – proud to outfit Paralympic Champions

For INVERSE, the privilege of outfitting the cyclists in the Spanish national team is not only a question of equipping them, but also involves supporting a team that has proven itself to be one of the best in the world. Our commitment to excellence and our customisation of cycling apparel is reflected in each garment, which is designed with the same level of dedication that these athletes devote to their sport. We are proud to support our champions at every step on their path to glory!
