The 2026 Inverse Trail Running Team is already off to a flying start. Against an unsurpassable backdrop, the demanding limestone trails of the Garraf Massif, the team to watch in mountain racing has presented its new outfit: it is a revolutionary approach to custom technical trail running apparel that combines cutting-edge technology and sustainability.
The presentation and the first photo shoot of its new recruits and senior members marked the beginning of a new season for a team that has been a cornerstone of INVERSE’s sports and innovation strategy for 12 years, as it has consolidated its position as Europe’s leading brand in custom trail running wear.

The Garraf Massif: the ideal testbed for the 2026 outfit
While the Montseny mountain range was the setting last year, Inverse chose the unique environment of the Garraf Natural Park near the city of Barcelona for 2026. Its arid landscape, exposed ridges and technical descents were used to test the new features in this year’s range of custom outfits for trail running teams, which the team will wear in the 2026 season.
The light of the Mediterranean and the tough environment provided the backdrop for the team’s photo shoots, highlighting how the design of the technical apparel is not only a response to professional and aesthetic considerations, but also linked to extreme functionality in changing climates.

Pure inspiration in outfit design
The print on the new outfits’ design is based on the landscape in motion: the deep-seated experience of running in the mountains when the environment around you ceases to be scenery, and becomes a sensation. It does not aim to capture anywhere in particular, but instead highlights the essence of trail running: constant adaptation, complete freedom and a deep connection with nature. It is the reflection of the permanent contrast between perseverance and enjoyment, between tension and fluidity.
The colours overlap like layers of terrain when the runner is in full flight: light, shade and effort come together to create an image that is felt and not simply seen. Warm and cool tones engage in a dialogue to express the energy of the body in motion and the wild calm of the environment – the unique balance that only appears when you run in the mountains.
Its scattered organic forms evoke the splintered vision of the race: accelerated pulse rates, heavy breathing, and the landscape melting away with each stride. There are no rigid lines or clearly defined boundaries, just like in trail running, where the path is never straight, never predictable and presence of mind is always necessary.
The new design of the outfit has gone down very well with each member of the 2026 Inverse Trail Running Team.
