The vital importance of women at Inverse throughout its history of over 50 years as a sportswear manufacturer

In the week when we celebrate International Women’s Day, we would like to highlight and celebrate the contribution that women make in every area of Inverse as a sportswear manufacturer.

There is an essential and powerful component at the heart of our company that manufactures Inverse brand sportswear, which has thrived for more than five decades: professional work done by women.

From design to product development, from marketing to administrative management, and from manufacturing to marketing, women play a central role in all aspects of Inverse. It is essential to acknowledge that the diversity of talent and the unique perspective they bring are crucial catalysts for our continued excellence and enduring success.

Product Design and Development: A Distinctive Feminine Touch

Women bring creativity to life in our design department, incorporating innovation and style into every item of sportswear. Their ability to understand market trends and turn them into unique and attractive designs is essential for keeping us at the cutting edge of the industry.

Our product development greatly benefits from the meticulous and perfectionist approach of our female professionals. From the choice of materials to attention to detail in tailoring, their innate ability to create high quality products is apparent in all the jerseys, bib shorts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and trisuits we produce.

Marketing and Management: Female Leaders in Action

Women play key roles that go far beyond product promotion in the field of marketing and administrative and commercial management. Their ability to work as a team, make strategic decisions and communicate effectively is a driving force in our company.

From campaign design to commercial and administrative management, women excel in coordinating and implementing the strategies that have taken Inverse to the top in both the manufacturing and marketing of Inverse’s cycling, triathlon, running, trail and ski sportswear.

Manufacturing is a process that encompasses numerous departments at the core of our company, and women are the undisputed leaders in each one. In the design, printing, tailoring, production, folding and packaging departments, their skill and dedication are evident at every step of the production process.

Women’s technical skill and dedication to manufacturing not only guarantees the quality of our products, but also demonstrates that gender equality in the workplace is essential for progress and sustained success. However, we also have men working in these manufacturing areas at Inverse, so there are no roles pigeonholed to a particular gender.

A Future Empowered by Diversity

In the week that we celebrate International Women’s Day, we reflect on the significant impact women have had on our company for more than half a century. We value and recognise the diversity of talent, perspectives and skills that each woman brings to our team.

One woman who certainly deserves an honourable mention is María Bosch, the wife of Joaquim Sabaté, the founder of the company that owns the Inverse brand, and the mother of the company’s current owners. At 90 years old, she still enjoys visiting the company and spending time with the workers. She was at the forefront of coordinating the tailoring, folding and packaging of the sportswear that Inverse manufactures for many years.

We look to the future with a renewed commitment to promoting gender equality and creating an environment in which every woman can achieve her full potential. By celebrating women at all levels of our organisation, we not only honour the past, but we also build a stronger and more equitable future for everyone.
