¿CÓMO CUIDAR TU ROPA DE CICLISMO, TRIATLÓN O RUNNING?

At Inverse we produce high quality technical wear for cycling, triathlon or running, and we want you to enjoy it for a long time. How long your favourite jersey, bob shorts, tri suit or top lasts depends on the care you take when using and washing them.

Care before using the garments

Be careful of them coming into any contact with sunscreen, soothing liquids or typical warm-up products. These products contain chemicals that can lead to a rapid deterioration in the fibre of the garments.

After using the garments

Hang the clothes in a well-ventilated room or wash them immediately. Do not hang the clothes in direct sunlight. And above all, never keep wet clothes in an unventilated environment such as a plastic bag, a gym bag, a suitcase, etc.

If you tend to sweat a great deal, a good trick for protecting the fibres of your clothes is to rinse them with water after use, so that the bacteria do not damage the fabric.

10 basic care tips when washing your clothes

Heat, sweat, mud, puddles, food stains, etc. – our clothes can get dirty in various ways. When washing them, always follow the instructions on the label, although we would like to emphasize the following care tips:

1) Wash cycling clothes separately and turn the items inside out (seams on the outside)

2) Machine or hand wash. Never dry clean.

3) Always use cold water. The temperature should never be higher than 30 degrees. Very hot water will undoubtedly ruin your cycling wear. We recommend using washing bags when using a machine.

4) A thorough rinsing so that there is no trace of detergent left is highly recommended.

5) Spin cycles can seriously damage cycling wear. Do not wring out or rub. You should not twist the garment after washing. To remove excess water, just push it out gently by hand.

6) Use neutral liquid soap.

7) Never use bleach or any other whitener.

8) Never use fabric softeners. Fabric softeners significantly reduce the chamois area and pads on our bib shorts. They also tend to create microbeads of oil that clog the pores of the transpiration mesh in our technical garments.

9) Do not dry the clothes in direct sunlight to avoid damaging the colours. Never use the dryer.

10) Never iron cycling, triathlon and running wear.
